Complete Lifestyle Photography bio picture

A brief history...

Thank you for taking the time to come and look at my work.  This is my passion, its all I have ever known.  Most text books will tell you that a bio should be written in the 3rd person, thats just not me.  I am personable, I am interested in you and I want you to be interested in me.  Writing about my life in the 3rd person just doesn't seem to make sense if we want to be friends.  I graduated from Fitchburg State College in 2001 with a degree in communications media.  I'd like to say I never use what I learned in school, but it just wouldn't be true.

I received a very classical technical education in photography, I learned about FILM.  I have translated that knowledge across the digital divide and now throughly enjoy the new media that is digital photography.  But frankly I care less about pixels and more about people.  I try to tell a story with each assignment, with each image.  Thats the beauty of a photograph, its just a moment that would have passed by so quickly that you might not have even seen it... but now you can look at it and remember those feelings anytime you wish.

That is my mission, to make those fleeting moments stand for all eternity.  To share with future generations.  I can't wait to meet and talk about your event weather its a wedding, bar/bat mitzvah or a family portrait...

The castle in the clouds…

I was back in NY 2 weeks ago (yes this is the 2nd post in this weekend of amazing skys), for a wedding of a colleague.  My friend Davitte of DTV Productions brought me in to do stills for this sweet couple.  It was at Le Chateu in South Salem NY, Maira Ortiz did an amazing makeup job (the lovely wife of Davitte).  Le Chateau sits on the side of a hill so we were very elevated and it made our sunset one of the best I have ever seen.   This couple got the very best mother nature has offered in 2009…

Can you believe it! We came back for more…

This bride and groom were so cute and so much in love that during our portrait session I asked if they would be willing to come back Monday and jump in the ocean. The bride was super SUPER hesitant, but the groom was all about it. His argument was hey your never going to wear this dress again lets do it. His words not mine, I was able to get him a tux that he could ruin too… NOTE: this has been done under the guise of another name. I choose not to even reference the name as my focus was not about what was happening to the clothes, but the beauty of the couple and the scene.

Pure Maine bliss…

I try to learn a little bit about the people I work with, without asking for their life story.  Often times I learn the most thru the speeches.  This couple had such a sweet story, high school sweethearts, the go across the country to college to be together… it really made me smile while taking their pictures.

Love shines thru the fog…

Even on a cloudy cold day in Maine love finds a way to shine thru.  This was a quintessential Maine wedding, a little chapel on a hill, a cozy function hall for the guests to enjoy their party and of course, love.  The room was full of it all day long from the faces of the bride and groom, from their parents and grand parents. It as a joyful day and I was lucky to be a part of it.

A New England beginning…

As everyone knows I have recently relocated back to New England, New Hampshire to be specific. This is my first wedding in the region (this season) as part of my new life here. It was at the amazing Castle at Crane Estates in Ipswich MA. The bride and groom must have struck a deal with mother nature because at T-10 minutes to ceremony the gray awful skies turned into the most beautiful shade of blue you can imagine. It was truly a miracle…
