Complete Lifestyle Photography bio picture

A brief history...

Thank you for taking the time to come and look at my work.  This is my passion, its all I have ever known.  Most text books will tell you that a bio should be written in the 3rd person, thats just not me.  I am personable, I am interested in you and I want you to be interested in me.  Writing about my life in the 3rd person just doesn't seem to make sense if we want to be friends.  I graduated from Fitchburg State College in 2001 with a degree in communications media.  I'd like to say I never use what I learned in school, but it just wouldn't be true.

I received a very classical technical education in photography, I learned about FILM.  I have translated that knowledge across the digital divide and now throughly enjoy the new media that is digital photography.  But frankly I care less about pixels and more about people.  I try to tell a story with each assignment, with each image.  Thats the beauty of a photograph, its just a moment that would have passed by so quickly that you might not have even seen it... but now you can look at it and remember those feelings anytime you wish.

That is my mission, to make those fleeting moments stand for all eternity.  To share with future generations.  I can't wait to meet and talk about your event weather its a wedding, bar/bat mitzvah or a family portrait...

Rock and roll…

I wanted to get some preview images up from the bar-mitzvah I shot this past weekend at the Andover Country Club.  The morning started at Temple Emmanuel in Andover with some family portraits.  Everyone arrived on time, as it turns out hair and makeup had mom and the younger sister up at 5:30am!

The bar-mitzvah was a cool as a cucumber, and dressed as sharp as the Ginsu!  Tim Gunn would be very proud.

The word on the street was his performance at temple was flawless.  So the party that ensued was a well deserved treat.  The post is titled rock and roll because this guy LOVES to rock.  And the theme was very evident from the moment you waked in the room.  His parents were seated at the KISS table…

Go ahead young man raise those hand up high, you did an amazing job, MAZEL TOV!

Sweetest Bat Mitzvah…

I had the privilege of shooting my first New England Bat Mitzvah recently.  It was at Temple Mishkin Tefilla in Newton MA, and it was the niece of Jon Fischer.  Jon is owner of Jon Fischer Photography and well like so many of us long for, he wanted to be a guest!  So thats where I came in, I got to work, Jon got to play…

So now on to the images…  The bat mitzvah girl is gorgeous! goes without saying right?  Well let me say it again in case I didn’t make my point clearly the first time, this bat mitzvah girl is gorgeous, and to boot, sweet as sugar.

Not to leave out the family unit as a whole, they were a pretty sharp dressed bunch…

A family revisited…

Every now and again I get to go back, to revisit a happy occasion with a family, its a big perk for this job. This family is so much fun to party with, to laugh with, to play with! This time its the middle child’s turn, the only girl to have her special day. I can’t wait, 4 more years until the last one, and then maybe a wedding?

Some fun while working…

Recently while on a job I had a brainstorm.  The room that was being used as the ceremony had to be flipped into the party room.  Not an uncommon occurance at all but I had seen the decorations; I knew it was going to be an amazing room.  So during cocktail I put a camera on a tripod and documented the staff flipping the room.

Mitzvah boy…

I shoot a fair amount of bar/bat mitzvah’s and for the most part the bat (girls) mitzvah’s are more into pictures.  Its a generalization but for the most part true, and this bar mitzvah boy was no exception.  He asked every 5 minutes from the time I started when he was done.  Well this picture was taken quite by accident as i was doing something else i swung my camera around and i just saw it and hit the button at the exact right moment…  my favorite shot of the day.
